Cricket Arena CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise based in Sheffield, serving some of the city’s most diverse and vibrant neighbourhoods — including Firth Park, Burngreave and Darnall.
We were founded in December 2022 to tackle health inequalities, break down barriers to sport and build stronger communities. Our work is about far more than cricket — it’s about creating safe spaces, lasting friendships and life-changing opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Director Hamzah worked for Yorkshire Cricket Foundation in Sheffield.
Built partnerships with several local clubs, schools & mosques to grow sustainable cricket pathways including All Stars & Dynamos.
Founder of Cricket Arena CIC, Hamzah applies his background in architecture and community sport to designing and building programmes such as the BBICL, Junior Hundred and MBL. He leads on strategy, partnerships and major projects with Sport England, the Violence Reduction Unit and Yorkshire Cricket.
An ECB Core Coach, Jawad leads Cricket Arena’s youth programmes, including All Stars & Dynamos, and manages a team of coaches and volunteers. With a background in teaching SEND students, he supports young people to build skills, confidence and positive pathways. He is also one of Cricket Arena’s most accomplished players, known for his left-arm inswing bowling and record MVP awards.
Shohaib supports Cricket Arena through his expertise in CricClubs, managing fixtures, rules and statistics with precision. His attention to detail has been vital in running leagues and ensuring smooth delivery of programmes. On the pitch, he is one of Cricket Arena’s most successful players, with six trophies to his name — including titles as captain.
